A trip to LA

First of all, a new look to the texts, since I won't be able to spend an hour for each post while at the army.

The Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra travels to LA next month. More on that on a later post. They'll perform with Esa-Pekka Salonen, the current conductor -and Music Director- of LA Philharmonic. Because of a twist of luck, Gustavo Dudamel -the successor of Salonen from 2009 comes to LA for a concert with "his" Venezuelan Simón Bolívar National Youth Orchestra.

Now, for reasons I couldn't understand, there's a bit of panic at the Sibelius Academy because of this trip... I found some critiques on the Proms' concerts of the Venezuelan orchestra on Jessica Duchen's blog. Read them here, maybe you can see why the panic... -unnecessary to me, but that's another post...

buzz it!
